Latest Destiny 2 expansion
New Destiny Expansion is a premium action game for PC coming from developer Bungie. With a working title called The Final Shape, it is the eighth expansion for the popular MMO looter shooter, Destiny 2. It serves as the final chapter in The Light and Darkness Sage that started back with the first Destiny.
Continuing where Destiny 2: Lightfall's story left off, this New Destiny Expansion will show players chasing the Witness into the Traveler for a final confrontation. New and returning players can expect to play and experience this expansion when it comes out sometime in 2024.
End of a saga
The story of Destiny 2 and developer Bungie is one of the most successful comebacks in the gaming industry. Having been released with loads of gameplay issues and a lack of content, this looter shooter has slowly climbed its way back from the pits of mediocrity to become a darling favorite among first-person shooter fans—aided in no small part by constant updates and expansions.
When it came to the latter, multiple ones have come out for the game in what the devs called The Light and Darkness Saga, starting from the first Destiny game. With the New Destiny Expansion, currently known as The Final Phase, the overarching narrative is nearing its conclusion. You will jump back into the Traveler to face the Witness one last time.
Based on the official trailer, the New Destiny Expansion will also mark the return of a fan-favorite character, Clyde-6. At this point, it's still unclear what role he will play in this new release, but his appearance is great all the same. Aside from that, though, there's no other information available, so you'll just have to wait for more news and announcements from Bungie itself.

It has been quite a ride for the Destiny franchise, both from a technical perspective and a narrative one. With the New Destiny Expansion, also known as The Final Phase, you'll get to witness and experience the epic conclusion to the story that started with the first game.
